The Irishtown Volunteer Fire Company is well known for the service it provides the community and the events that are held for fundraising. The front of the station houses Special Unit 14 and the Antique Tanker. The back of the station includes a state-of-the-art kitchen and a banquet hall which is used for numerous different types of events. The lower level of the station includes the lounge area and the offices. The lounge includes card tables, tv, and a kitchenette area. The lounge was remodeled a few years ago to include the kitchenette area. In 2006 a building addition to the fire station provided housing for Engine Tanker 14 and Engine 14-1. Many thanks go out to the indivduals and companies who have donated construction materials, money, and time to the company.
